All of our available resort vacations are listed on the Search option on our Web Site. It is updated daily, so please keep checking back to see if your desired date and location is available. If you do not see it there and you have a specific time and place you want to vacation, feel free to call the Reservation Center (1-800-724-9988), they might be able to find it for you.
Do I have to stay the entire time?
The space that is made available to AFVC as Space-A,High Demand comes in one-week, seven night increments. That does not mean that you have to stay the entire seven nights. If the available week runs from Friday to Friday, you can check in on Saturday (Sunday or Monday), but you still have to check out the following Friday. If you can’t stay the entire period, you can also check out early. However, if you check in late, or check out early, you still pay the full $329* USD.
Are there any discount airfare, car rentals or other travel packages available to use with my resort vacation?
Discounted airfare and car rentals are available through the Armed Forces Vacation Club through the Off Duty Traveler's Advantage program. Check out the Club Opportunities section of the website (www.afvclub.com) for information.
Are the resorts handicap accessible?
Because needs vary greatly and resort facilities are all different, once you choose your resort destination and BEFORE you book your trip, call the resort directly. Describe your needs to them and they can tell you if they can accommodate you.
Can I take non-eligible travel companions?
Yes. The only requirements are that the eligible person be 21 and traveling with the party and that the reservation be in their name. Otherwise, you may take as many people as you want. You can even book multiple condos at the same time and location; as many condos as you want and are available. We just want you to enjoy yourself. As the saying goes - the more the merrier - so bring as many or as few friends and family as you want.
Am I eligible to participate?
You are eligible to participate if you are a:
- Member of the Uniformed Services or an adult dependant (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy; active duty and both active and inactive reserve and National Guard)
- Foreign exchange service member on permanent duty with the DoD
- Retired Member of the Uniformed Services or an adult dependant (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy)
- Civilian employees of the DoD (appropriated, non-appropriated, or retired) or an adult dependant
- American Red Cross personnel serving overseas with the U.S. military
- DoD Dependant School teacher or an adult dependant
- Disabled American Veteran @ 100% with 2765 ID Card

You are correct on both counts. The cost for the use of the condo for a week is $329* USD. However, some of the resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean are "all-inclusive" resorts. That means, depending on the resort and season, meals, drinks, tours, transportation, resort activities, resort amenities, services and facilities may be covered, just like a cruise ship. Anyone who stays at an all-inclusive resort may pay a per person fee for this service. At some resorts it is an option. At others, it is a requirement for all guests. Even owners at these resorts may have to pay the all-inclusive fee when they use their own condo. All-inclusive conditions and rates are set by the resort and we have no control over them.
A list of all-inclusive resorts can be found in the All-Inclusive section of this web site. Additionally, the Vacation Counselors will ALWAYS tell you about any all-inclusive conditions and rates BEFORE you confirm a reservation. If you do not want to pay the all-inclusive fee, simply pick a different destination.

No, unfortunately we cannot accept reservations or requests prior to a unit being identified as available for AFVC Space-A rental. As soon as inventory becomes available in any location, we will post it to the web site. Click Here for tips on booking at high demand locations and during peak season.
How long in advance do I have to make a reservation to be safe or to be sure there is space available?
Units may become available for AFVC Space-A rental anywhere from 2 to 360 days in advance of check-in. As soon as they become available, they can be reserved. Once a reservation is made, the unit is taken out of the available inventory pool and that unit is yours. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so a high demand location may be available in the morning, but gone by afternoon. If all available units have been reserved prior to your call, a Vacation Guide will assist you with finding an alternative location or available date. When all available units at a resort have been reserved, the resort will drop off the web site when the database is updated the next morning.
