All of our available resort vacations are listed on the Search option on our website. It is updated daily, so please keep checking back to see if your desired date and location becomes available. If you do not see it there, and you have a specific time and place in mind, feel free to call the Reservation Center 1-800-724-9988. They might be able to find it for you.
Do I have to stay the entire time?
Space-A or High Demand vacations come in one-week, seven-night increments. But you don’t have to stay the entire seven nights. You can check in late or check out early, if you wish. However, you still pay for the full week.
Are there any other travel discounts (car rental, etc.) available to use with my resort vacation?
Discounted car rentals are available through Avis & Budget. Check out the Vacation Deals section for information about how you can save.
Are the resorts handicap accessible?
Because needs vary greatly and resort facilities are all different, once you choose your resort destination and BEFORE you book your trip, call the resort directly. Describe your needs to them and they can tell you if they can accommodate you.
Can I take non-eligible travel companions?
Yes. As long as you are 21, the reservation is in your name, and your companions are traveling with you, you may take as many people as you want up to the maximum occupancy allowed for your reservation. You can even book multiple condos at the same time and location. We just want you to enjoy yourself. As the saying goes: the more the merrier.

I spoke with a Vacation Guide about a Space-A week in Cancun and was told my total cost would be almost $2,000 USD. I thought the AFVC rate was $369* USD per week?
You are correct on both counts. The cost for use of the condo for a week is $369* USD. However, some of the resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean are "all-inclusive" resorts. That means, depending on the resort and season, meals, drinks, tours, transportation, resort activities, resort amenities, services and facilities may be covered, just like a cruise ship. Anyone who stays at an all-inclusive resort may pay a per person fee for this service. At some resorts it is an option. At others, it is a requirement for all guests. All-inclusive conditions and rates are set by the resort, and we have no control over them.
Are the vacation spots all inclusive with the price?
A list of all-inclusive resorts can be found in the All-Inclusive section of this website. Additionally, the Vacation Guides will tell you about any all-inclusive conditions and rates BEFORE you confirm a reservation. If you do not want to pay the all-inclusive fee, simply pick a different destination.
I am searching for accommodations in Italy, but the earliest listing in "Availability" is almost 12 months from now. Is there any way to reserve something sooner?
No, unfortunately we cannot accept reservations or requests prior to a unit being identified as available for AFVC Space-A rental. As soon as inventory becomes available in any location, we will post it to the website.
How long in advance do I have to make a reservation to be sure there is space available?
Units may become available for AFVC Space-A rental anywhere from 2 to 360 days in advance of check-in. As soon as they become available, they can be reserved. Once a reservation is made, the unit is taken out of the available inventory pool and that unit is yours. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so a high demand location may be available in the morning, but gone by afternoon. If all available units have been reserved prior to your call, a Vacation Guide will assist you with finding an alternative location or available date. When all available units at a resort have been reserved, the resort will drop off the website when the database is updated the next morning.
Cancellation Policy
NOTE: RVC's ARE FINAL, NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-REFUNDABLE.
Unless otherwise indicated either: (a) on the resort or accommodation detail sheet or (b) by RR when making a reservation, the following cancellation policy shall apply on Space A Rentals:

Military Contingency
In the event of a military contingency, you may be eligible for a full refund of your reservation fee.
Requests for cancellations due to military contingency should be submitted as soon as possible, but MUST be received no later than three (3) business days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
To cancel a Space-A reservation due to a military contingency, you must submit proper notification of the contingency, including your name, confirmation number, the check-in date, and the nature of the military contingency. A general description such as "reserve unit activation," "overseas deployment," "delayed return from deployment," or "leave involuntarily cancelled due to military requirements" is sufficient. Please do not send mission specific or operational details. The notification should be from your unit commander or the first field grade officer (or GS equivalent) in your chain of command stating that your leave was involuntarily cancelled due to military requirements.
