The nearest major airport is the Seattle /Tacoma airport, 85 miles away. Commuter flights are available from Seattle to Roche Harbor's 4500-foot airstrip. There is a public airport at Friday Harbor. If driving from Seattle, take I-5 north to Anacortes. From there, it is a two-hour ferry trip to the island. Ferries are also available from Sidney (on Vancouver Island). Call 206/464-6400 for ferry schedule and fares. From the Friday Harbor dock, go two blocks on Spring St., turn right on 2nd Ave., (which becomes Roche Harbor Rd.) to the resort. Check in at the main lobby of the Hotel, 13 miles from Friday Harbor Dock.
