Overview

Located within the private Shipyard community, Coral Reef is surrounded by 883 beautiful acres that include award-winning golf and tennis facilities, miles of beautiful pathways to explore by foot or bicycle, and a long stretch of beach only moments away. The pool area includes a hot tub, children’s pool, and main pool. Guests may enjoy a packed schedule of seasonal, offsite resort activities fun for all ages. Coral Reef’s prime location makes it an ideal starting point to enjoy Hilton Head Island’s wide assortment of dining, shopping, recreational, and entertainment options. Resort fee due upon check-in, pools towels are not provided. (2) Free bike beach cruisers are available via a partnership with Wheelz of Hilton Head, must call 3 days in advance to reserve at 843-842-4445. Check-in office is in a different location than resort.

  • Please be advised that you, or anyone in your party, can only stay a combined total of 2 weeks (or utilize 2 units) per 12 month period within the following group of resorts: Coral Sands Resort North (#C688), Port O'Call (#0995), Island Links Resort (#1473), Coral Reef Resort (#3975), Coral Sands Resort (#6736), Island Links By Coral Resorts (#7630). This rule is strictly enforced and violations will be cancelled, no exceptions.
  • A car is recommended. E-bikes are NOT allowed. Parking spaces are limited to two per unit.
  • Armed Forces Vacation Club guests can only stay a combined total of 2 weeks (or utilize 2 units) per 12 month period.
  • Check-in is at the Coral Sands clubhouse at 66 Pope Ave. Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. If you will be checking in outside these hours, please call the resort at 843-341-5401 at least three days before arrival to review the late check-in procedure, and call at least three weeks in advance to discuss special requests.
  • Credit card imprint required upon check-in at the resort.
  • If applicable, additional fees for some utilities, including gas and electricity may be charged by the resort and varies based on stay duration, season, room size and actual usage, and is payable directly to the resort by you. These fees are not included in the total booking price.
  • Prior to travel, RCI recommends contacting your host resort as well as local, state and federal websites for advisories that may impact your travel or vacation experience.
  • Resort cannot honor unit upgrades or moves.
  • The offsite clubhouse and front desk will be open daily from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm. Effective October 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026 the clubhouse and front desk will be open Monday - Thursday from 8:30am to 7pm and Friday - Sunday from 8:30am to 8:00pm.
  • Units are multi-level and have stairs to access the bedrooms. Cottages with unit numbers 41, 42, 43, 50, and 51 are from one block up to .5 miles from the Coral Reef Resort. Units CRC121, CRC125, and CRC143 are located .5 miles from Coral Reef Resort.
